The best way to learn is by having fun, and you can expect lots of laughter in this 45-minute class! Together, we practice ancient Filipino martial arts movements, working both empty-handed and also incorporating maneuvers with gentle foam sticks. Each class includes a thorough warm-up, cooldown, stretching, and builds from the last so that you feel progression and self-confidence in your ability level. Classes are designed for all ability levels and can be taken standing or seated, or a combination of both. Come and join us for some martial arts fun!

Arthritis foundations around the world and the CDC are recommending it for arthritis and fall prevention. This form is suitable for most physical conditions and can be done sitting or standing.

In this class, participants will learn a 40 posture Yang family form done in sequence. It requires the ability to stoop, turn and change directions. Not suitable for some physical conditions. Extra time will be provided to beginning (or inexperienced students) for orientation to Tai Chi, its concepts, and principles

    It’s Never Too Late to Improve Your Body and Your Life! Gain Without Pain If you have had a joint replacement, or have a disability, if you walk with a cane, are a Senior, are overweight, a Couch Potato, or for any other reason, hesitate to exercise, this class is for you. Gain strength, balance, stamina, and body awareness in a fun, non-judgmental environment. Not aerobic nor fast-faced, no floor work. You will learn effective breathing and relaxation techniques, gentle flowing and stretching movements, as well as some simple self-acupressure. Most movements can be done sitting or standing. Wear loose comfortable clothes and flat shoes.

    Swimming ABC’s - Swim Lessons for Adult (18+) Women, provided in partnership with Minnesota Masters Swimming All instructors, volunteers and lifeguards will be women, and there will be privacy on the pool deck so that women can participate. This program is designed for adults who never learned how to swim or have anxiety around water. Participants will learn to be more comfortable and safer in the water. Participants will learn skills including putting face in the water while blowing bubbles, sculling, treading water, kicking, and back float / front float. Each participant will be matched with a volunteer and will progress at their own pace.

    Pickleball is all the rage and this 4 class series is intended for individuals who are interested in exploring this fast growing and exciting sport for all ages. The course will cater to all levels of athleticism and sports background with the goal of learning the rules & scoring, developing the basic skills, and understanding how to navigate opportunities to find other players of similar experience and skill level. Most importantly, you will not be intimidated or overwhelmed and you will have fun! You will learn: Strategies for avoiding injury Grip and paddle control techniques Etiquette Scoring and rules Basic skills including serve/return, ground strokes, the “soft” shot (also called “the dink")

  • Practical Self Defense Seminar

    This workshop is primarily intended to convey information on how to avoid situations that might result in violence and how to deal with them if they occur Topics discussed include but are not limited to carjacking, active shooter and domestic abuse. At the end of the workshop there will be a demonstration on how to release yourself from a grab and some other self defense techniques. Due to the mature nature of some of the topics discussed participants should be 16 years or older.

    Play a few games and receive your provisional DURP skills rating from a DUPR Certified Coach. DUPR ratings are used for joining leagues and tournaments or just to know your current skill level. There is an additional opportunity for ongoing virtual coaching feedback that includes game element breakdowns and improvement suggestions for 18 on and off paddle skills sets, powered the My DUPR Coach app.(Not mandatory).
