Pickleball - Learn to Play!
Learn to play pickleball! This sport combines tennis, badminton, and table tennis into a fun, low-impact activity. Adults of all ages and skill levels can play. Sessions available for beginners and advanced beginners/ intermediate level players. If you have knowledge of the rules and have played 8 or more times, please consider registering for advanced beginner/intermediate session. Equipment provided. Court shoes are strongly encouraged to reduce the risk of falling/injury. High-quality discounted paddles are available for purchase from the instructor. See instructor for details. -
Monday Iyengar Yoga
Develop strength, balance, flexibility, and presence of mind. Learn and refine standing and seated asanas, twists, forward and backward extensions, inversions, restorative poses, and pranayama. Begin your day with this rejuvenating morning yoga practice, taught in the tradition of B.K.S. Iyengar. The course includes basic standing, sitting, and restorative poses that are modified to meet your individual needs. Among its many benefits, yoga helps manage arthritis, osteoporosis, and stress-related illness, while keeping the immune system strong. All levels of experience are welcome. Bring your own mat. This class is offered in hybrid mode for your convenience. It will meet in person but it will also be offered via Zoom. You can decide how you want to participate each week. -

Chair Yoga
Chair yoga is a gentle practice that includes seated poses on the chair and standing poses using the chair for balance and support. Yoga can help manage arthritis and osteoporosis while strengthening your immune system. This class is ideal for those with limited mobility and strength, or who are healing from injuries. Participants will need access to Zoom and a straight back chair. This class will meet online via Zoom. Online meeting information will be sent via email by the instructor before the first class. Willingly accommodates any physical limitations of the participants by explaining and demonstrating how to modify the pose to prevent pain or injury but still get desired stretch.
