Intro to Spring Forest Qigong Movement and Meditation
With a history of over 6,00 years, Qigong is a Chinese method of physical exercises and meditation designed to improve health, peace of mind, vitality and to harmonize the flow of living energy within the body. There are many forms of Qigong. Spring Forest Qigong, developed by Master Chunyi Lin, is an easy to learn, completely safe, non-strenuous form of exercise with extensive benefits. Spring Forest Qigong helps to improve your health; increases energy; accelerates recovery from pain and disease; and helps to fortify the immune system. It increases physical strength and stamina; improves flexibility; and decreases joint pain. It accelerates body detoxification through improved lymphatic functioning, slows the aging process, and improves metabolism (thus easier weight loss). Emotionally and mentally it improves the ability to cope with stress; increases focus and concentration; and improves memory and learning abilities. A great reducer of anxiety and depression, Spring Forest Qigong improves mental awareness and alertness; calms the nerves,mind, and emotions; and brings about an overall feeling of peace, relaxation, balance, and wellness. This class is for all levels of fitness. No Qigong or meditation experience necessary. For ages 18- 90. All exercises can be performed standing or sitting.
