    Never be without a card for that special occasion.In this class we will be creating 25 hand-stamp cards (5 cards of 5 designs). A variety of themes will be created such as birthday, sympathy, thank you and others. All new card designs! Class includes pre-cut materials, envelopes, use of instructor’s stamps, inks and tools. Students should bring their adhesive of choice to class (tombow, double stick tape, etc); instructor will have adhesive to purchase as well.

    In this class, learn the basics of making earrings that you design yourself. Work with head pins, pliers and attach your choice of beads. Learn advanced techniques such as wrapping and connecting. If you have a needle-nose or long-nose pliers, bring them to class. All course materials will be provided: $20.00 fee payable to instructor at class.

  • Scrapbook Pages Made Simple

    In this class we will be creating four 2-page12x12 scrapbook layouts. All materials will be pre-cut. No pictures will be required for this class.I will show you simple ways to create over the top pages to complete your scrapbooks. Instructor will provide stamps, inks and tools for you to complete pages. Students should bring their adhesive of choice (i.e. tombow, double sided tape, etc.) or purchase from instructor.
  • Spring Mosaic Garden Art

    CELEBRATE SPRING and decorate your yard and garden with beautiful and colorful mosaics!NEW this year is the GARDEN STAKE collection, and back by popular demand is the fun-to-make Welcome/House number sign. Design and create your own yard art that you will be proud to show off in your yard and impress your friends and family as your “inner artist” comes to life. The GARDEN STAKES come in a variety of shapes:birds, flowers, bumble bee, dragonfly and butterfly. Decorate them with a large selection of pre-cut colorful glass pieces of your choosing – easy and fun. The WELCOME SIGN has been a class favorite for many years with students creating beautiful signs for their home, every year, getting better and better. The sign base is available in several sizes to fit your design. Please indicate your project choice when you register.The first night everything is ready for you to start – glass cut and patterns for you to use or bring in your ideas. If you don’t finish, you can bring supplies home to finish at your leisure. The second night we will get dirty grouting and see the magic happen as the grout is wiped off – always a fun surprise! Grab a friend and have some fun creating art!!!The materials fees for signs range from $14 to $28 (depending on size), and for garden stakes are three for $27, and are payable to instructor at first class. You can also purchase additional stake shapes for a small fee.Please bring old towels to cut up and a jar with a lid the second night.

In this workshop, you will be guided through activities centered in self-reflection, core values, writers block and any other areas in your life that may be contributing to feeling stuck or unsure of how to proceed.A professional writer and a life coach will combine their super powers to increase your confidence in publishing and jump any hurdles that keep you from moving to the next level in your writing. Together, you will create a solid plan for moving forward, grounded in passion for your art and drive to share your best work with the world.
  • Twined Rag Rug Weaving

    Discover the fine art of twined rag rug weaving . . . a great way to recycle old clothing or extra fabric. In class, you will learn the warping process; develop weaving techniques; and learn the finishing process for your own unique rug creation. Leave class with a completed 20"x32" rug and the knowledge to create beautiful pieces for your home, cabin, family and friends. Bring a sharp scissors, crochet hook/latch hook and approximately 15 yards of any similar weight fabric to class. Plan on a total of 12-15 hours to complete one rug. If you don't have materials at home, check a local thrift store for fabric, sheets, curtains, jeans, etc. Instructions on how to prepare your  fabric will be distributed to you 5 days prior to class. $45 materials fee for loom purchase and supplies payable to instructor at class.

Everything you need to design and make this stunning sun catcher/wind chimes is provided by the instructor, for a material fee of $20. With a large and varied selection of all sorts of beads, you will be amazed at what you can create. This makes a wonderful, unique hand made gift for someone special–including yourself!  Invite some friends for a relaxing, fun evening as you create ART!
  • Writers’ Workshop: Creative Writing II

    This 2-week writers’ workshop is designed to assist writers who are working, or beginning to work, on a specific creative writing project, including short stories, novels, memoirs, and biographies. Writing will be critiqued by the instructor and fellow writers based on adherence to seven principles of literary excellence: vision and imagination, conflict, captivating story, compelling characters, emotion, mystery, and showing versus telling. The workshop will also cover editing techniques, writers’ block, devices used to create conflict and tension, structure and organization, point of view, and publishing opportunities. There are two prerequisites for registration in this workshop: 1) all students must have a specific writing project in progress or ready in mind and must be committed to working on the project during the workshop, and 2) all students must either have completed Creative Writing 101, 201, or obtain an exemption from the instructor.
