Enjoy a morning of giggles, music, creative activities, hands-on art exploration, and discussion. Our Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes include: Caregiver/Child Interaction Time – Bond and learn together through play. Engaging Child Activities – Developmentally appropriate fun just for little ones. Caregiver Discussion Time – Connect with other caregivers and explore parenting topics. Caregivers will gradually separate to a different room - the process is customized to meet the unique needs of each group with a focus on fostering growth for both parents and kids. Interactive Circle Time – Sing, move, and share stories as a group. These classes foster early learning and strong caregiver-child relationships in a supportive, engaging environment.     Celebrating Our Beautiful Differences This parent-child class is designed for infants (birth to 18 months) and their caregivers. Our Parent Educator will provide engaging stories, songs, and play items to introduce young children to the rich variety of cultures, skin tones, languages, and family traditions in our world. Together, you'll explore board books that reflect inclusive and diverse characters, share songs and rhymes from different cultures, and offer simple ways families can begin meaningful conversations about fairness, kindness, and respect. Parents and caregivers will also have time to connect and reflect on how to raise children with empathy, awareness, and a strong sense of identity.     Start Your Parenting Adventure with Us! The journey of caring for your baby is an exciting one, and we’re here to support you every step of the way! This class offers parenting education from a Licensed Parenting Educator and the shared experiences of fellow caregivers navigating the early stages of parenthood. Our Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes include: Parenting Education: Learn about newborn development, sleep, feeding, self-care, relationships, and more. Baby Interaction Time: Play, connect, and engage with your baby during hands-on activities. Interactive Circle Time: Sing songs, tell stories, and enjoy movement activities together with your baby. Supportive Community: Connect with other caregivers who are also transitioning to parenthood in a supportive, understanding environment. This class is “come as you are.” We understand that babies cry, need to eat, or get sleepy during class, and we embrace these moments as part of the experience. Expecting Parents & New Arrivals Expecting parents are welcome, and new parents can register throughout the year.     INFANT MASSAGE & PURPOSEFUL PLAY -This is a one day event! Note: This class is intended for non-crawling infants. No prior experience with baby massage is necessary. Join Kara Quist, a Pediatric Physical Therapist and Certified Infant Massage Instructor (Therapist for 20+ years & breastfeeding counselor) for this gentle and engaging class designed to support bonding, development, and relaxation for both baby and caregiver. This class is perfect for new parents, caregivers, or anyone looking to create a calming, enriching experience for their baby.     Welcome to ECFE Little Explorers, where children and their caregivers join together on a journey of discovery and fun through playful exploration. Designed for curious minds and active bodies, these classes offer a stimulating environment that allows you to connect with your child, meet new families, and learn with each other in a non-separating ECFE format. Each class will have a licensed Parent Educator and licensed Children's Teacher present that will provide opportunities for discussions and connection among the caregivers and the children present. Little Book Explorers (September-October) Join us for Little Book Explorers, where toddlers and their grownups embark on a delightful journey through the world of stories! In this interactive class, you'll explore a variety of colorful books, sing engaging songs, and participate in fun, hands-on activities that bring stories to life. Little Playtime Explorers (November-December) Dive into the fun with Little Playtime Explorers, a vibrant class where toddlers and their caregivers embark on a journey of playful discovery! Each session is packed with imaginative activities that promote motor skills, creativity, and social interaction.     ECFE Classes for Children of Varying Ages This class is designed for families with children of varying ages who wish to attend together, as well as those interested in having their child interact with peers of different ages. We offer a range of activities that allow children of all ages to explore through creative play, new art forms, and songs. Class Features: Activities for All Ages: Engage in activities tailored to children under 5 years old, promoting exploration, creativity, and learning. Caregiving Discussions Topics: Focused on topics like developmental milestones, sibling relationships, big feelings, media use, and more. Discussion topics will be guided by the group’s interests. Caregiver Discussion Time: Connect with other caregivers and explore parenting topics. Caregivers will separate to a different room - the process is customized to meet the unique needs of each group with a focus on fostering growth for both parents and kids.     Twins & Multiples (a Caregiver & Child Class) For Families with Twins, Triplets, or More Come join a special community of families with twins, triplets, or more! This mixed-age class is designed for caregivers and children ages 9 months to 5 years. Your little ones will have the chance to explore new art forms, creative play, and music in an engaging, hands-on environment. In addition to fun activities, we’ll create space for meaningful discussions on topics such as developmental milestones, big feelings, sibling relationships, screen time, and more—based on the interests of the group. Separating class format: Caregiver and child separate for parenting discussion time customized to meet the unique needs of each group.     Preschool Readiness Class – Mondays and Wednesdays Our Preschool Readiness class meets twice a week to help prepare your child for preschool while supporting parents. Mondays: Caregiver & Child Together Caregivers and children attend class together, featuring: Interactive Learning: Enjoy hands-on activities to strengthen your child’s development. Caregiver Discussion: Connect with other parents about child development and parenting tips. Circle Time: Fun group activities like songs, stories, and games. This class offers a supportive, gradual transition to preschool. Wednesdays: Child-Only Session Children attend independently. Engage in preschool activities: Your child will practice skills like taking turns, following directions, and working on independent tasks within a classroom setting. Experience Preschool Routines: With a focus on fostering independence, children will get comfortable with the structure of a typical preschool day. This class offers a space for you and your child to play and interact with others while providing you with the opportunity to connect with other Somali-speaking adults. An interpreter is present each week to support communication. Class Components: Caregiver/Child Interaction: Spend quality time together engaging in activities that promote bonding and early learning. Play-Based Learning: Fun, hands-on activities that foster your child's development through play.     Clase de ECFE para familias hispanohablantes ¿Su lengua materna es el español? Los invitamos cordialmente a usted y a sus hijos a unirse a nuestras clases de ECFE en inglés. Esta clase ofrece un espacio para que usted y su hijo jueguen e interactúen, a la vez que les brinda la oportunidad de conectar con otros adultos hispanohablantes. Un intérprete está presente cada semana para facilitar la comunicación. Componentes de la clase: Interacción entre la cuidadora o el cuidador y la niña o el niño: Pasen tiempo de calidad juntos participando en actividades que fomentan la conexión y el aprendizaje temprano.     What an exciting adventure you are on as a caregiver of a baby! It takes a village to support your family during the infant years and beyond. This class will provide you with education from a licensed Parenting Educator along with the shared experiences of other parents and caregivers who are transitioning to parenthood, navigating sleep, feeding, caring for themselves and their families, relationships, and more. The class will include time to play and interact with your baby, information on newborn development and parenting topics, along with an interactive circle time with songs, stories, and movement. Expecting parents are welcome and new arrivals are always encouraged to register. We understand that babies cry, and sometimes during class, they may be sleepy or need to eat. This class is "come as you are" and we embrace this as being a welcoming place to experience the realities of parenting. NOTE: Sibling Care is offered, with limited spots available - Sibling Care is for children from 6 months - 5 years 6 months (or before child has entered Kindergarten.)     Virtual Parenting & Caregiving Connection Class For Parents and Caregivers Only of children ages 0-8 years Do you ever wish you had a supportive group of fellow parents and caregivers to talk with—people who understand both the joys and challenges of raising children from birth and beyond? If you’re looking for the Parenting Education component of an ECFE class but can’t attend in person each week, this virtual class is designed just for you. Join us once a week for meaningful conversations facilitated by a Licensed Parent Educator. Connect with others, share experiences, and explore a wide range of parenting topics—all from the comfort of your home. Whether you're navigating toddler tantrums or elementary school transitions, this class provides a welcoming space for support, learning, and connection.
