Beginning Sewing for Teens
This is for those who have little or no experience at a sewing machine. We begin with learning the parts of the sewing machine and then practice sewing straight and curved lines. We will learn about choosing fabric and patterns. In Session 1 (2 hours) we will make a pillow case. Students will be required to provide fabric and a designated pattern for Session 2 (3 hours). In Session 2, we will learn about using patterns and will cut out the fabric and construct a pair of leisure pants. Students are then on their way to sewing fashions and accessories of their own creation. -
