COVID 19 Protocols for In-Person Classes: We will follow Minnesota Department of Health recommended guidelines regarding small class sizes, sanitation practices, and physical distancing. We are looking forward to making safe and engaging experiences for you to enjoy this winter and spring. Your health and safety are our highest priority. Here are safety practices you can expect at our in-person classes: Small class sizes. Masks are strongly encouraged at a Hopkins Public Schools location, including the Eisenhower Community Center and Lindbergh Center. Classes at other locations will follow that building's mask policy. Practice hand washing. Physical distancing of 6 feet will be maintained. Participants will be asked to self monitor health symptoms before attending a class. If you have a cough, fever or sore throat, we ask that you stay home. There will be no refunds for class fees $5 and under. We reserve the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment. In that case, we will contact you and make arrangements to refund your class fee. There is no cancellation fee for classes Community Education cancels.

  • Hop-Kids: Preschool-Age

    Hop-Kids provides opportunities for playing and learning that are fun, nurturing, and safe. We believe children learn best through meaningful, interactive play. Our classes offer an introduction to a variety of sport fundamentals, play adventures, and STEM skills taught by passionate instructors who encourage curiosity, discovery, and problem-solving! Classes at outside of Hopkins Public Schools will follow the buildings COVID guidelines.   • Summer Youth Programs

    Summer is always an adventure at Hopkins Community Education! Our goal is to provide a safe, enriching and fun summer for your child. We are committed to providing a wide variety of class options to meet every child's need and interest. Check out these summer programs: Camp Royal offers a variety of camps for students entering Kindergarten to 6th grade. We focus on flexibility, variety and affordability, as well as hiring only the best staff to spend the summer engaging with your child. We offer half day or full day camp options as well as supervised choice time from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and over lunch time. All camps take place at the Eisenhower Elementary School. Sport options including swimming and football camps. Camps for Jr. High Students including cooking, pottery, chess and swimming. Driver Education classes throughout the summer. Please note that the grade listed for each summer class will be the grade your student will be going into for the 2022-2023 school year. Summer 2022 Camps will be online on February 10 Click Here for the Youth Programs COVID Procedures Camp Royal early drop off has been changed to 8:30 a.m. Late pick up has been changed to 4:30 p.m. Camp Royal pick up and drop off will happen in the Eisenhower Elementary School bus loop. Parents will not be allowed into the building unless it's for an emergency. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to students attending a full day of Camp Royal June 13 to August 4.
