    Little Learners & Loved Ones

    Bigs and Littles is all about big fun for little ones! Designed for kids ages 2–6 and their favorite grown-up (age 18+), each class is a chance to try something new together. Pricing includes one adult and one child—unless noted otherwise. When signing up, be sure to register under your little’s name so we can make sure they’re the perfect age for the adventure!

    For virtual classes, your instructor will email you the meeting information directly. Please check your spam for an email with the class link from your instructor for this class.     Hop-Kids provides opportunities for playing and learning that are fun, nurturing, and safe. We believe children learn best through meaningful, interactive play. Our classes offer an introduction to a variety of sport fundamentals, play adventures, and STEM skills taught by passionate instructors who encourage curiosity, discovery, and problem-solving! Cancellation and Refund Policy: We will gladly refund your class registration fee if you cancel and request a refund five business days prior to the first class, minus a $5 cancellation fee. There will be no refunds for class fees $5 and under. We reserve the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment. In that case, we will contact you and make arrangements to refund your class fee. There is no cancellation fee for classes Community Education cancels.
  • Royal Learning Academy

    Welcome to Summer at Royal Learning Academy! We are excited your scholar has been invited to join us. This invitation is a wonderful opportunity to enhance your scholar's learning experience and to have tons of fun this summer! Registration for 2026 will open soon! The mission of Royal Learning Academy is to expand and enrich learning opportunities that compliments your scholar’s school year experience. The program uses a variety of hands-on learning approaches to help all scholars be successful. Classes are taught by licensed teachers and are designed to support academic and social skills in a fun atmosphere. Our goal is to provide a program that enhances scholar engagement, creates meaningful experiences, builds relationships, and supports scholars’ academic goals. The curriculum is well thought out and designed to meet the academic needs of your scholar. Scholar voice (and choice) is an important aspect of engaged learning. Scholars are required to attend 6 full weeks. Funding for your scholar's participation is provided by the State of Minnesota’s Targeted Services program. Participation is optional and at the discretion of parents and caregivers. Scholars must qualify for Royal Learning Academy and must have been invited by their classroom teacher. Location: Tanglen Elementary June 22 - July 31, 2026, Monday-Friday Drop off starts at 8:45 a.m. and Pick up by 2:15 p.m. Daily attendance is required Meals: Breakfast and lunch will be provided by Hopkins School Nutrition. Registration for breakfast or lunch is not required. Parents and Guardians should see the School Nutrition website for the meal calendar.   • Staff Wellness for Hopkins Public Schools Employees

    These classes are for current Hopkins Public School staff only. If there is a fee associated with a class you may call a Community Education representative at 952-988-4070 to receive $25 off of your registration up to 4 classes in 1 school program year. This benefit is for all current Hopkins Public School staff in partnership with the HR Wellness department. Discounts may only be redeemed at the time of payment. We will not be able to retroactively apply discounts after payments have been processed.
  • Summer Youth Programs

    Summer 2026 Camps available on February 13 at 8:00pm Summer is always an adventure at Hopkins Community Education! Our goal is to provide a safe, enriching and fun summer for your child. We are committed to providing a wide variety of class options to meet every child's need and interest. Check out these summer programs: Camp Royal offers a variety of camps for students entering Kindergarten to 5th grade. We focus on flexibility, variety and affordability, as well as hiring only the best staff to spend the summer engaging with your child. We offer half day or full day camp options as well as supervised time from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and over lunch time. All camps take place at the Eisenhower Elementary School. Camp Royal will take place Monday through Thursday, June 15 to August 13. Campers can be dropped off as early as 8:30 a.m. and picked up as late as 4:30 p.m. Camp Royal pick up and drop off will happen in the Eisenhower Elementary School bus loop. Parents will not be allowed into the building unless it's for an emergency. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to students attending a full day of Camp Royal during the summer meals program with School Nutrition. Camp Royal camps are available for registration until the end of camp. Register on a week by week basis. Be sure to register your student for a morning camp and an afternoon camp for a full day experience. Registration will close on the Wednesday the week before camps begin. Field Trip week will be offered August 17-20! Camps for Middle School Students including cooking, pottery, chess and STEAM classes. New this year: Royal Zone Summer Camp! Six-weeks of summer fun for middle school students. Driver Education classes throughout the summer. Please note that the grade listed for each summer class will be the grade your student will be going into for the 2026-2027 school year.     Community Education Youth Programs offers a wide variety of out-of-school time enrichment classes, athletic activities and online programs that will expand your child's learning experiences.
