Yang Short Form (Tai Chi Chuan)This non-martial, gentle exercise reduces stress, strengthens the body, and restores internal and external balance. The many physical and psychological benefits have been recognized by both medical and scientific research. Tai Chi is recommended by many top medical universities and organizations. In this class, participants will learn a 40 posture Yang family form done in sequence. It requires the ability to stoop, turn and change directions. Not suitable for some physical conditions. This class will meet in person. Class will meet online via Zoom if social distancing requires.
Qigong for Health and RelaxationThis gentle and healing Qigong has been around since the 12th Century. The movements are slow and flowing. Takes very little room and is fun and relaxing to practice, especially in this stressful world we live in. Each move focuses on healing according to Traditional Chinese Medicine. Movements can be adapted for most physical conditions. Please wear flat shoes and loose, comfortable clothing. This class will move online, via Zoom, if needed.
Tai Chi Ruler ExercisesThis course uses the Tai Chi Ruler as a form and instrument. Slow, focused, Tai Chi movements are taught using the Tai Chi Ruler as a focus and means to improve relaxation and concentration. Suitable for all ages and most physical conditions. Flat shoes (no sandals) and comfortable clothes. This class will meet online via Zoom. Online meeting information will be sent by instructor before class. Purchase Tai Chi ruler from instructor for $20 or on own.
