COVID 19 Protocols for In-Person Classes: We will follow Minnesota Department of Health recommended guidelines regarding small class sizes, sanitation practices, and physical distancing. We are looking forward to making safe and engaging experiences for you to enjoy this winter and spring. Your health and safety are our highest priority. Here are safety practices you can expect at our in-person classes: Small class sizes. Masks are strongly encouraged at a Hopkins Public Schools location, including the Eisenhower Community Center and Lindbergh Center. Classes at other locations will follow that building's mask policy. Practice hand washing. Physical distancing of 6 feet will be maintained. Participants will be asked to self monitor health symptoms before attending a class. If you have a cough, fever or sore throat, we ask that you stay home. There will be no refunds for class fees $5 and under. We reserve the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment. In that case, we will contact you and make arrangements to refund your class fee. There is no cancellation fee for classes Community Education cancels.

    Hopkins Public Schools Emergency Child Care Request Form: Emergency school closure childcare April 6th through June 5th- cost is $14/day for before-care, $14/day for after-care with the school day hours free. Child care location: Eisenhower Elementary, Door A, 1001 Highway 7, Hopkins, MN 55305 Child care hours: 6:30 a.m. - 6:15 p.m. Meals provided: children will be served breakfast, lunch, and a snack. During the statewide closure of Minnesota schools, Hopkins Public Schools will provide child care for first responders who have children ages 4 to 12 who are currently enrolled in our preschool programs / elementary schools. We will also be providing child care for Hopkins Public Schools employees who are working in school buildings during this mandated closure for students. If your child is 4- to 12-years-old and not enrolled in Hopkins Public Schools, you will need to complete a waiver as you drop off your child for care. WE WILL NEED TO VERIFY YOUR EMPLOYMENT: When you first drop your child off, please show an employee badge or a letter from your employer on letterhead verifying your employment. Thank you!

    Hop-Kids provides opportunities for playing and learning that are fun, nurturing, and safe. We believe children learn best through meaningful, interactive play. Our classes offer an introduction to a variety of sport fundamentals, play adventures, and STEM skills taught by passionate instructors who encourage curiosity, discovery, and problem-solving!     Kids & Company is Hopkins Public Schools’ premier school-age before-school and after-school child care program. Offered in each of the District’s six elementary schools, Kids & Company is open Monday – Friday, 6:30 am – 6:00 pm for children in kindergarten through 6th grade. Kids & Company also offers full day child care during the summer months for students entering grades 1 – 7 for the upcoming school year. Our summer locations are typically located at a few of the elementary/junior high/high schools.
