    Hopkins Public Schools Emergency Child Care Request Form: Emergency school closure childcare April 6th through June 5th- cost is $14/day for before-care, $14/day for after-care with the school day hours free. Child care location: Eisenhower Elementary, Door A, 1001 Highway 7, Hopkins, MN 55305 Child care hours: 6:30 a.m. - 6:15 p.m. Meals provided: children will be served breakfast, lunch, and a snack. During the statewide closure of Minnesota schools, Hopkins Public Schools will provide child care for first responders who have children ages 4 to 12 who are currently enrolled in our preschool programs / elementary schools. We will also be providing child care for Hopkins Public Schools employees who are working in school buildings during this mandated closure for students. If your child is 4- to 12-years-old and not enrolled in Hopkins Public Schools, you will need to complete a waiver as you drop off your child for care. WE WILL NEED TO VERIFY YOUR EMPLOYMENT: When you first drop your child off, please show an employee badge or a letter from your employer on letterhead verifying your employment. Thank you!

    Hop-Kids provides opportunities for playing and learning that are fun, nurturing, and safe. We believe children learn best through meaningful, interactive play. Our classes offer an introduction to a variety of sport fundamentals, play adventures, and STEM skills taught by passionate instructors who encourage curiosity, discovery, and problem-solving!   • Kids & Company

    Kids & Company is Hopkins Public Schools’ premier school-age before-school and after-school child care program. Offered in five of the District’s elementary schools, Kids & Company is open Monday – Friday, 6:30 am – 6:00 pm for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Kids & Company also offers full day child care during the summer months for students entering grades 1 – 6 for the upcoming school year. Our summer locations are located across the district at our elementary schools and North Middle School. Hours are 7:00am - 6:00pm. PLEASE REVIEW OUR PARENT HANDBOOK FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION School Year 2024-2025 UPDATE October 2024: All of our schools have a Wait List for childcare Due to staffing and high enrollment, Kids & Company is currently in an enrollment hold and will only be approving contracts based on the number of spaces available at each site to meet the 15:1 ratio as required by the MN Department of Human Services (DHS). We are working diligently to hire the best staff to care for our students in the program. As we hire staff at each site, we will be opening the number of spaces available. To request a contract scroll to bottom of page and click on "ENROLL NOW." If you choose to request a contract, you will receive an email as soon as space becomes available to update your contract prior to acceptance. Once an opening is confirmed and your contract is approved, you will receive an acceptance email from Eleyo. To check your position on the enrollment list, please click here. Each account is listed by its account number to ensure privacy. Your account must be in good standing with all Hopkins Community Education programs in order to request a contract for a current or upcoming summer or school year program. Your contract will be placed on hold until payment has been received in full. Note: Kindergarten first day of the 2024-25 school year is September 4th.     Skyhawks School-Aged Care is an after-school, and non-school day program for children entering kindergarten through sixth grade. Skyhawks Sports MN partners with Hopkins School District in a shared vision to develop the whole student to be confident, healthy, and respectful individuals ready for all that life has to throw at them. Skyhawks Sports Academy was established 42 years ago and offers skill-based, confidence-building opportunities for children ages 2 to 14.
