    Hopkins Public Schools Emergency Child Care Request Form: Emergency school closure childcare April 6th through June 5th- cost is $14/day for before-care, $14/day for after-care with the school day hours free. Child care location: Eisenhower Elementary, Door A, 1001 Highway 7, Hopkins, MN 55305 Child care hours: 6:30 a.m. - 6:15 p.m. Meals provided: children will be served breakfast, lunch, and a snack. During the statewide closure of Minnesota schools, Hopkins Public Schools will provide child care for first responders who have children ages 4 to 12 who are currently enrolled in our preschool programs / elementary schools. We will also be providing child care for Hopkins Public Schools employees who are working in school buildings during this mandated closure for students. If your child is 4- to 12-years-old and not enrolled in Hopkins Public Schools, you will need to complete a waiver as you drop off your child for care. WE WILL NEED TO VERIFY YOUR EMPLOYMENT: When you first drop your child off, please show an employee badge or a letter from your employer on letterhead verifying your employment. Thank you!

    Hop-Kids: Preschool-Age

    Hop-Kids provides opportunities for playing and learning that are fun, nurturing, and safe. We believe children learn best through meaningful, interactive play. Our classes offer an introduction to a variety of sport fundamentals, play adventures, and STEM skills taught by passionate instructors who encourage curiosity, discovery, and problem-solving!     Thank you for considering Hopkins Preschool! All Preschool class listings can be found here: Preschool Class list **Dragons Mandarin Chinese Immersion Preschool may open Fall of 2025 if we are able to secure 16-20 registrations. We look forward to welcoming you to this new preschool program. We will review registration numbers on July 1 to assess viability for launching the preschool classroom. We intend to make a final decision by July 15 - which is the final family commitment date for all preschool program registrations. If we need to cancel this option for the 25-26 school year, families will be fully refunded both their deposit and registration fee. If we do not have a minimum of 16 students in July, we will instead work toward a 26-27 preschool opening. We are currently determining the feasibility of bussing transportation for this program, and will inform registered families about transportation options as they become available. Rate: $800 per month. Your child must be 4 by September 1st. No Exceptions. (*Spanish Immersion is offered in our Tortugas Preschool Class.) If tuition assistance is needed, please submit your proof of income to preschool@hopkinsschools.org before or at the time of registration. Your enrollment will not be confirmed and a spot is not being held in that class, until proof of income has been verified.     Kids & Company Registration Page Kids & Company is Hopkins Public Schools' premiere before- and after-school care program for children in Kindergarten through fifth-grade during the school year and 1-6 during the summer. A fee-based program, Kids & Company is offered in all six of the District's six elementary schools. As well as limited locations on non-school days. Please check out our website for more information and details: HopkinsSchools.org/Kids Helpful hints for requesting a new contract: We require 2 emergency contacts. Payment method will be asked for before completing, but will not be charged until contract is approved. Clinic and Doctor information is required. Please read through our Kids & Company Family Handbook Any request for School Year 2025-26 received after April 26, 2025 will be added to the Wait List until space is available. Summer Kids & Company is full and closed to new requests. Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) Kids & Company is a DHS Certified Child Care Program that accepts Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), if you have questions about CCAP, please contact Christine Beach-Olsen at (952) 988- 4076. Scholarships with ResourceWest Scholarship funds for qualifying families in need of assistance to pay for child care fees for Kids & Company are offered through ResourceWest. The application period for the summer and school year programs in 2025 has now closed due to funding availability. The next application period will open on February 2, 2026, for support during the summer and school year of 2026. Skyhawks Sports MN partners with Hopkins School District in a shared vision to develop the whole student to be confident, healthy, and respectful individuals ready for all that life has to throw at them.
