Cribbage for Beginners

Youth Programs / Science & S.T.E.M. -
Youth Fall 2025

Cribbage blends clever counting with quick tactics—and it’s easy to learn with guidance. In this beginner course you’ll master the fundamentals: dealing and the cut, pegging, building hands, counting with speed, and common table etiquette. Each session pairs short instruction with plenty of playtime and rotating partners. No experience necessary.

Students are required to bring their own cribbage board. If you need you need a cribbage board and would like Community Education to purchase, select pricing with the purchase of a cribbage board.

Cindy Vlasak

I learned cribbage at an early age by playing with my grandmother and my dad, kindling an enthusiasm for the game and an overall appreciation of how such a simple tradition can create a familial bond. To me, cribbage is a way to connect, create memories and build lasting relationships across all ages.
