Dive into the colorful world of watercolor in this creative class just for kids! We’ll experiment with playful techniques like splattering, blending, and creating cool textures while learning the basics of painting. Classes can be taken individually or as a series. Young artists will explore new subjects—from animals and plants to imaginary worlds—building confidence and creativity along the way.

Signe Hillestad is a passionate watercolor artist and teacher who loves helping others discover the joy of painting. With over 25 years of experience in fine art, crafts, yarn art, and clay, Signe brings both skill and encouragement to the classroom, making watercolor approachable for artists of all ages and skill levels.
Known for her warm and supportive teaching style, Signe creates an environment where students feel free to experiment, make mistakes, and explore their creativity. From playful kids’ classes to beginner-friendly adult workshops, Signe believes watercolor is for everyone and that every brushstroke is part of the adventure.
When not teaching, Signe enjoys her job in marketing, hiking, spending time with her 3 young-adult children, painting outdoors, experimenting with new mediums, and always finding inspiration in the colors and patterns of the world around us.
