Ready to step into the spotlight? Whether you're looking to improve your public speaking skills, boost your confidence, or just explore the world of theatre, this beginner-friendly, 8 week class is the perfect place to start! No prior experience required—just bring your curiosity and willingness to have fun. Through engaging activities and scene work, you’ll learn the basics of acting, including character development, voice, and movement. Each class offers new exercises, so you can drop in any time and jump right into the action. Come discover your inner performer!
James Buffington has a BA/IDIM in Theatre, Film and Creative Writing from the University of Minnesota and has over 25 years of experience within the theatre, as an actor, director and producer. These experiences have solidified James' passion for the art form and the joy of sharing stories with audiences. In addition to his film, video and digital media work, James has spent the last 18 years in arts education at the local Twin Cities high schools and colleges, written and directed numerous Fringe Festival productions.
