On the Environment and Sustainability tour, students will dive into how Target Field earns LEED credits and tackle the wild world of environmental challenges that sports facilities face. And don't worry, this isn’t a lecture—get ready for some hands-on fun! We’ll wrap up with a lively sorting experiment that lets you flex your sustainability muscles while proving that recycling can be as exciting as catching a foul ball!
The Learning Through Baseball program is rooted in the Twins' commitment to advancing social equity by removing barriers, increasing access, and creating unique learning opportunities. We leverage the power of baseball to engage students, infuse fun into learning, and build excellence through partnerships and collaborations.
Timeline:
9:00am: Check in at the Eisenhower Community Center.
9:15am: Load bus for Target Field
10:00am-12:00pm: Learning Through Baseball Camp. Students welcomed by T.C. Bear mascot at drop off!
12:15pm-1:00pm: Lunch
2:00pm: Pick up at the Eisenhower Community Center
Transportation and lunch provided.
Buy One Get One voucher for a Twins Game provided to each student! Good for any season game, even day of.
Target Field is a cashless stadium for any purchases at giftshop.
The Minnesota Twins Learning Through Baseball Program reaches more than 15,000 students in 150 schools annually. Established in 2012, the program's mission is to engage, enrich and empower every students who walks through Target Field.
Our Learning Through Baseball program provides an exceptional and unique educational experience from the one-of-a-kind classroom setting that is Target Field. Our knowledgeable staff conveys baseball's beauty through a fun curriculum, which adheres to Minnesota K-12 academic standards, that students will engage with and enjoy.
