The Hopkins Summer Orchestra Camp is a string enrichment program for students entering 6-8th grade in the ‘25-‘26 school year. Each day will include an hour of sectionals with string instructors and an hour of group rehearsal with the middle school orchestra director. There will be a 6th grade ensemble and a 7/8th grade ensemble. No auditions are necessary, but students must have at least 1 year of experience on their instrument. This camp will culminate in a concert on Thursday, July 17th.
Abigail Eck is the middle school orchestra director at Hopkins Public Schools. They went to Augsburg University and graduated with a degree in Instrumental Music Education. Abigail started at Hopkins in January of 2023, and is looking forward to working with and getting to know the incoming middle school students.
