Hopkins Community Education

Animotion Lab is a fun and creative stop motion animation class where students will unleash their imagination and bring any object or drawing to life. From toys and household items to their own drawings, students will learn how to animate literally everything around them frame-by-frame. No prior experience is necessary - beginners are welcome to join this immersive class and experiment with different materials and subjects for their animated shorts.

Is sparkle your child’s favorite color? If so, they will love this camp! They’ll make brilliant, sparkly masterpieces including a portrait of a pony, a trinket box and a painting of a butterfly. The kids will learn different art terms and techniques as they get messy with Model Magic®, plaster of Paris, and more spectacularly sparkly supplies. The projects your child crafts in this camp will glitter, gleam, sparkle and shine. Please pack a nut free snack and drink for your child each day.

Encaustic Collage, or embedding items into hot wax, can produce beautiful and dramatic results. In this class you will be introduced to the supplies, tools, and techniques required as you create your own work of art. We will be working with paint and glues so please dress accordingly.
