Medical terminology is the first step to any career in the medical field or simply to understand your family’s medical visits. No prior experience is necessary. This highly specialized language involves word building with root words, prefixes, suffixes, and abbreviations. You will leave with a solid foundation of medical language, as well as basic medical billing and coding terminology. After submitting and passing the open-book exam included in the workbook you receive in class, you will earn a Certificate of Completion. This comprehensive course is taught by longtime educator LeeAnne Krusemark, and Credentialed Medical Professional Vanessa Grinnell, RRT. Estate planning is an essential task for anyone who wants to assure that their assets are distributed according to their wishes after death, with minimal legal oversight and cost. In each class, attorney Andy Gregory will introduce the basics and you will learn the fundamentals of estate planning to help implement or improve your own estate plan or the plan of a loved one. In the first class, we will discuss the importance (at any age) of having a will, power of attorney, and health care directive. The second class will discuss how the probate process functions in Minnesota, trust-based estate planning, and guardianships. Andy emphasizes that his firm's mission is to achieve clients’ goals for their estate plans. By understanding their wishes and concerns, he can educate, guide, and counsel them about the varied tools and options that can effectively and efficiently accomplish those goals.
