  • FIT FUTURE Elementary Basketball League

    Join our Elementary Basketball League—where competitive meets fun and teamwork! Open to Hopkins boys and girls grades 3-5 who are eager to learn the game and compete. This league focuses on skill development, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. Enjoy one practice per week and Friday games filled with energy, with parents and school staff cheering from the stands. The season tips off with a kickoff event and wraps up with an exciting end-of-season tournament. All registered athletes are encouraged to attend the Kickoff Event on Thursday March 26th at Eisenhower Community Center 7p-8p. This event is included in the cost of the league and will include mini team competitions. League practices start the week of April 6th Wednesday practices: Eisenhower, Glen Lake, Alice Smith, and Gatewood Tuesday practices: Tanglen and Meadowbrook End of the season tournament - Saturday May 16th (morning) at Royal Athletic Center Registration deadline is March 23rd. Transportation will be provided to games, Parents must pick up athletes after game.

  • Eisenhower 5th Grade Math Enrichment

    Calling all math-loving 5th graders at Eisenhower Elementary! The Eisenhower 5th Grade Math Enrichment Program is designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence and take students' math skills to the next level. This weekly program gives students the chance to dive deeper into mathematical concepts beyond the regular classroom, explore problem-solving strategies and enjoy friendly challenges alongside like-minded peers. It’s the perfect opportunity for students who are passionate about math and eager to stretch their thinking in a fun, supportive environment. Register for the Math Masters Competition on April 26! The competition will be located in Chaska and is an all day event. More details will be sent to families closer to the tournament date. Transportation to Chaska is not provided.

  • TGA Pickleball

    TGA (Teach. Grow. Achieve.) is excited to introduce youth pickleball classes! This fast-paced, ultra-fun sport—similar to tennis but even more accessible—is perfect for all ages. With an 8:1 student-to-coach ratio, our experienced instructors provide individualized attention, ensuring each child progresses at their own pace in a supportive environment. Using real pickleball equipment (all provided, so no extra gear is needed), students will develop fundamental skills through engaging drills, interactive games, and real match play. Beyond the game, they’ll also explore academic concepts and practice essential life skills like sportsmanship, integrity, and perseverance. TGA makes learning pickleball easy, fun, and rewarding! For participating, each child will receive a hat and wristband. Other prizes and giveaways may also be given!
  • Chinese Dance

    Chinese dance includes three categories: classical, folk and contemporary. Each session, we take turns to learn from each category alone with flexibility and Chinese dance techniques such as jumping, turning and tumbling. This class will be taught in Chinese. Dancers should bring dance shoes either purchased online or from the instructor for $10/pair.
  • Character Kids: After School Theater Class

    Sing! Dance! Act! Join us right after school as we learn the basics of acting, singing, and musical theater dance. Students will play theater games, build stage skills, and explore popular Broadway musicals while having a lot of fun! Each session is filled with different material so new and returning students are welcome! Focus is put on developing imagination social skills, and a positive self-image through the performing arts. Parents are invited to a special performance on the last day of class! Hopkins Community Education is excited to provide a pick your price payment option for before and after school programming.     DASH Sports Floor Hockey Camps give young athletes a well-rounded soccer experience that builds skills, confidence and a love for the game. Players will learn how to properly shoot, pass, and play defense in a fun, supportive environment designed for all skill levels. The final day wraps up with exciting scrimmages and games so players can show off what they’ve learned. Please bring a nut free snack and a water bottle.

    Mini Me Sports is offering six weeks of one-hour sessions coaching children in grades K–5 in foundational sports skills and character-building traits. Each week pairs a sport—like soccer, basketball, track and field, flag football, and relays—with a key value such as teamwork, perseverance, or courage, encouraging movement, confidence, and social growth in a fun, supportive setting.

    Let's Draw, Paint & Sculpt with Kidcreate Studio

    You asked for it, so here it is - a class with all that art has to offer and more! Your child will love experimenting with many different materials while learning lots of new techniques. We'll learn to draw a wacky llama, and we'll sculpt and paint a box full of delicious looking donuts. We'll even create one of our most popular projects -- a snow globe! Parents, you'll need to make space on the fridge and the mantle for these amazing works of art! Please pack a nut-free snack and drink for your child each day.

Through age appropriate drills, games, and teamwork activities, children will develop coordination, confidence, and sportsmanship. No experience is needed! Perfect for beginners and young players looking to improve their skills while having fun with friends after school.
  • Fit-Future Girls Flag Football

    Join us for the Fit-Future Girls Flag Football team, proudly sponsored by the MN Vikings and partnered with Hopkins Youth Football! Our season features training camps during spring break, 2-3 practices each week, strength and conditioning sessions, and scheduled games and tournaments throughout the season. This program will be guided by coaches and staff from Hopkins Schools and other experienced coaches. Team organization will be based on athlete skill level, but there will be option for Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Middle School teams. Varsity players will also have the opportunity to compete in playoffs and the state tournament at the end of the season. Don’t miss out on this exciting experience! -Team fee helps pay for coaches, transportation, supplies, refs, and extra donation goes towards snacks for our athletes. -Volunteers coaches or administrators needed -Any student who needs a scholarship can contact community.education@hopkinsschools.org and confirm completion with Coach D - All athletes will be expected to help with fundraiser -Games scheduled End April- First week June -Most games played on Sundays between 4-6pm for JV /V & There will be games scheduled on weekdays for MS , Schedule - Practices are Tuesday / Thursday/ Saturdays and will vary with skills work, and strength , conditioning, and Agility training with fitness coach - Flags, uniform, and footballs will be provided. -Parents will need to provide mouth guard, cleats (optional) - Teams will be formed by having a tryout process, students will have the ability to make MS. JV or Varsity team based on numbers, and skill set. All players will make the team and play but there is no guaranteed playing time.

    It’s Spring time and that can mean only one thing: SPRINGTIME DRAWING WITH YOUNG REMBRANDTS! If your children are baseball fans, they will love our baseball still life lesson. Learning about warm colors and cool colors will be the focus as our artists draw a detailed exterior of a house. We’ll also learn about legendary artist Edward Hopper as we recreate one of his masterpieces. Finally, we’ll take an imaginary trip to Japan and learn about the artistry of the kimono. Players will learn how to play flag football in a fun, supportive environment designed for all skill levels.     Get ready to enter your Anime drawing era with this workshop! We will learn the "ins and outs" of drawing your favorite characters and creating your own, all with an anime vibe! The class will focus on the unique style of drawing faces, dynamic poses, and exaggerated expressions that are at the heart of Anime and Manga. Students will learn about proper coloring techniques with markers and colored pencils to make their characters "pop" on the page.
