In this course students will receive intensive mentoring from an experienced artist. I have learned so much on my journey and want to share this knowledge with you! We will begin by learning the tools and materials and choosing and mixing colors. We will explore the subject of still life painting and learn how to prepare drawings. We will then decide on arrangements and talk about different ways to approach a painting which combine observation with knowledge. By the end of this course students will be familiar with the principles of classical techniques, composition and painting in oil. *A suggested supply list will be sent 7-10 days before the first class.
