Watercolor & Collage Mandalas

Adult / Art -
Adult W/S 2026

Mandalas are a powerful artistic form used in meditation and healing practices. The word itself loosely translates to “circle,” a word which we’ll use as a guide throughout this class to help focus on ideas, thoughts, and feelings that we continue to circle in our own lives. We’ll also work to embrace the “messy” part of our lives represented by loose, fluid watercolor circles for the base and layers of collaged bits of paper and fabric. The completed pieces will be packed with mesmerizing, tactile beauty as well as deep personal meaning. This practice is an opportunity to release perfection and spend time enjoying the process of creating, healing and letting go.

Please bring a sketchbook or loose sheets of watercolor paper and a set of watercolors (if you have them) to class. All other supplies (and some extra watercolors) will be available for class use.

Molly Anthony

Molly Anthony is a writer and mixed-media artist from Minneapolis, MN. She loves exploring art in all forms and sharing her ideas with others, but through the pandemic and family struggles she learned the importance of using those practices for self-care. In her work and her teachings, she strives to embrace imperfection, focuses on process over product and is constantly looking for new ways to be curious about the world around her, especially while on walks with her dog. She teaches locally in the Twin Cities and is also the co-facilitator for the MN Visual Journal Collective. You can find her artwork on Instagram at @mkranthony and on her website TheFoundArtWalk.com.
