Matthew Bowen has been an art educator for more than 20 years. He has taught most grade levels from Kindergarten through high school. He attended the University of MN - Twin Cities where he completed his Master of Education in Curriculum Development in Visual Arts Education and received his BFA in Ceramics from the University of Eau Claire - WI. Matthew believes that most everyone can be an artist if they are willing to be a risk-taker, try new things, and dive into the creative process. Finding opportunities to create art with others in the community has been an amazing experience and he is excited to help others find joy and self-pride in the shared experiences of creating art through the wonderful opportunities at Hopkins Community Education.
