Unfurl the magic of fan veils in this three-hour immersive workshop! Fan veils bring drama, elegance, and breathtaking visuals to belly dance, turning each movement into a sweeping work of art. In this intensive, you’ll explore foundational techniques for opening, closing, and transitioning smoothly with fans, plus drills to build strength, control, and fluidity. We’ll layer in combinations that highlight musical phrasing, stage presence, and dynamic reveals, giving you tools to captivate your audience. Whether you’re picking up fans for the first time or seeking to refine your artistry, this workshop will expand your range and confidence with this enchanting prop. Please bring a pair of fan veils if you have them!

Instructors

Erin Hunter

Erin is a seasoned performer having been on the stage since kindergarten. She has performed as a dancer at World Arab Fest, on network TV, as a house dancer in local restaurants and countless celebrations and theater shows. She created Caravan Dance and Music in 2011 which performed on the Robin Hood stage at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and throughout the Midwest until 2013. She has taught multiple classes in the Twin Cities and produced stage shows for students to showcase their skills. In addition to belly dance, Erin is an actress and model appearing in commercials for Target, Lifetime Fitness, Hasbro and local Twin Cities films.


Kristin Kujawski

Kristin is a multi-talented artist, dancer, performer, teacher and choreographer of 30 plus years. Bringing life to emotions and stories through movement has been a lifelong pursuit. She has studied with many great Middle Eastern Dance Artists including Cassandra Shore, Jillina, Dina of Cairo, and Raqia Hassan. Her movement studies also include African, Modern Dance, Ballet, Jazz, Renaissance, Baroque dance forms and extensive experience in Stage Combat and Theatrical Movement. No story is too big or small to tell through dance.
