Join this guided field experience to take your hobby images to the next level with a professional photographer. This fall, visit downtown Anoka to compose images from its lively small-town business and riverfront districts. *Note: please bring your own camera device; digital and film both welcome.
Randy has been interested in photography since 9th grade. After graduating from Mankato State in 1975, his first job was teaching photography at the Cedar Rapids Art Institute in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. While in Iowa, he started his own free-lance photography business, Rural American Graphics: Photography by R.R. Spotts. He moved to Minneapolis in 1977 and has continued his business doing portraits, weddings, commercial and corporate photography. He also works with several stock photo agencies and Hallmark cards. Randy is a member of the Twin Cities Professional Photographers Association and serves on the advisory committee for the ArtsCenter on 7 in Minnetonka. When he is not on a photo-shoot he enjoys cooking, reading, listening to good music and spending time with his granddaughter Kaitlyn.
What students are saying"Randy will show you how to see your subject in a way that will help you create more professional looking photographs, not just snapshots.""Great class! Thanks!"
