Build on established drawing skills with Jim as your guide. Expand abilities in creative problem solving, personal concept/content mining, and material qualities. Deepen understanding and practice of core skills as well as advanced traditional, non-traditional, and experimental techniques and uses of mediums. You will continue to create drawings and learn how to evaluate and talk about art in a positive environment.
Designed for students with understanding and practical fluency in the core skills of gesture, contour, proportion, and value.
This is a hybrid class- it is offered in-person with the option to take it virtually during the same dates and times.
$25 materials payable to instructor on first day of class. Covers basic materials.
Draughtsman & painter Jim Clark lives and works in Hopkins. He earned his undergraduate degree at University of Alaska, Fairbanks, MFA at Vesper College, and completed coursework at Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne and Academie de Port-Royal in Paris.
