Machine Sewing: Beginner Projects

Youth Programs / Art, Drama and Dance -
Youth Fall 2024

Interested in learning how to use a sewing machine? This class is for you! You'll learn the parts of a sewing machine and how to use it by practicing sewing on scraps.  Then we’ll make our first project: an envelope pillow cover for a throw pillow. After that, we’ll design and sew a scrappy zipper pouch.

All materials provided.

Carrie has been very involved in hand sewing (slow-stitching) for the last few years, exchanging artsy creations with sewists from across the world.
