Bryant Lake Nature Walk with Roosevelt & Muir

Adult / Hobbies / Hobby & Leisure -
Adult Fall 2024

Strengthen your love of nature and your appreciation for it in literature in this open-aired discussion about conservationists Roosevelt & Muir with local author Jeff Olson. Jeff will lead a short nature walk at Bryant Lake Park which will rest at a park pavilion for a discussion of the great naturalist writers and facilitate making connections between these themes and the great state and national parks and wildlife refuges of the United States. You will be inspired to read more in your own new copy of Kindred Spirits: The Extraordinary Nature Conservation of Theodore Roosevelt and John Muir (Olsen, 2024). Build your community of fellow local nature lovers and satisfy your appetite after an exhilarating morning at lunch afterward.

Note: Please dress comfortably for the weather. Please bring a notebook and a pen. The class will run except in dangerous inclement weather, e.g.: lightening, tornado, etc.).

Note: The cost of lunch is not included in the course fee.
