The class is designed for rosemalers who have completed a beginning rosemaling course that covered painting the basic C and S strokes, as well as prepping and backgrounding woodenware.
Exploration of the beautiful Norwegian folk art of rosemaling. Rosemalers will further develop their skills as they paint a wooden project.
Prior to class, students will be provided the complete supply list of the paints, brushes, woodenware, and other supplies they will need to bring to class. The class will be taught in oils. Recommended for adults and ages 14+ with a parent or guardian.
Being of all Norwegian descent, Judy grew up surrounded by Norwegian culture and rosemaling. After taking her first rosemaling class she was hooked. Within a year, she had studied under four Vesterheim gold medalists, as well as other talented area rosemalers. Since that time, she has taken countless in-classroom and online classes. Judy's rosemaling has earned her several ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair, two of which were blue ribbons.
