Students will program robots to move, act and think on their own. Discover the excitement of programming your creation to follow a command and watch it go. Our classes are fun, educational, and hands-on, teaching students the foundations of building and programming concepts. Students working in teams will then be challenged to morph their projects into better, stronger, or faster robots.

Unleash Your Ultimate Platform Fighter! Dive into the creation of a Super Smash Bros.-style game using Construct 3, a powerful and user-friendly game development platform. Students will learn how to design, develop, and implement various game mechanics, including character selection, combat systems, item integration, and stage design. Harness the power of Redstone to create magical effects, from floating candles to moving staircases. And with a custom magic plugin, design and play thrilling Harry Potter-themed mini-games. Students will learn to use the Unreal Game, a powerful programming suite used by professionals and indie game developers, to make and mod micro-video games. We'll make speed booster pad, custom triggers, track twists, animations, and more. Learn to make video games more fun by creating custom modifications. The software is available to download at home for free. Please bring a USB drive to class.

Students will be introduced to object-oriented programming and elements of the Java language while learning to code their text-based RPG (Roleplaying Game). No programming experience is necessary, but familiarity with common tasks using a computer operating system (text-editing and understanding directory structures) and good keyboarding skills is required.
