Explore, experiment, and express yourself with watercolor! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn techniques for mixing colors, creating textures, and layering to bring your ideas to life. We’ll tackle fun projects inspired by nature, pop culture, and your own imagination, while building the skills to make your paintings stand out. Take one class or take them all to build your skills and enjoy new projects.

Signe Hillestad is a passionate watercolor artist and teacher who loves helping others discover the joy of painting. With over 25 years of experience in fine art, crafts, yarn art, and clay, Signe brings both skill and encouragement to the classroom, making watercolor approachable for artists of all ages and skill levels.
Known for her warm and supportive teaching style, Signe creates an environment where students feel free to experiment, make mistakes, and explore their creativity. From playful kids’ classes to beginner-friendly adult workshops, Signe believes watercolor is for everyone and that every brushstroke is part of the adventure.
When not teaching, Signe enjoys her job in marketing, hiking, spending time with her 3 young-adult children, painting outdoors, experimenting with new mediums, and always finding inspiration in the colors and patterns of the world around us.
