    Maximize fun with friends at Friday Night Live for 4th and 5th graders Unleash your game skills with exciting gym games and competitions dance the night away with a live DJ and enjoy snacks available for purchase The middle school pool will also be open so bring your swimsuit and towel Parents This event is fully supervised by Kids and Company staff and is a great way for students to get comfortable in the middle school building Important Details Student pick up is promptly at 830 pm Registration closes at noon the day before the event No tickets will be sold at the door Once we reach capacity no additional registrations will be accepted
  • Lifeguard Certification

    Become a Certified Lifeguard with Our Free Comprehensive Course This free course teaches participants the skills and knowledge needed to become a lifeguard. After completing the course, youth may be eligible to become paid interns with Hopkins Community Education. During the course, candidates will learn how to recognize prevent and respond quickly to aquatic emergencies. The training also includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer AED and First Aid. Certifications will be awarded after attending all class sessions and passing the written exams water skills and final tests. Prerequisites: Participants must be between 15 and 21 years old and able to pass a swim pretest that includes: • Swimming 300 yards continuously using rhythmic breathing and breath control • Treading water for two minutes using only the legs • Completing a timed event within one minute and forty seconds that involves swimming twenty yards starting in the water, diving to a depth of seven to ten feet to retrieve a ten-pound object, swimming back twenty yards on the back while holding the object, and exiting the water without using steps or a ladder Certifications received upon successful completion of the course and a passing score of eighty percent or higher on the final written exams include Lifeguard CPR with AED and First Aid. These certifications are valid for two years and must be renewed every two years. This is a blended learning class. A link to the online curriculum will be emailed one week before class begins. An email address is required to participate.

    Learn Hair Braiding and Extension Techniques in This 4-Day Camp In this hands-on camp, students will develop problem-solving skills as they learn to untangle hair and adjust braids. They will explore the art of hair braiding and cornrowing, and discover how to install hair extensions using Crochet and Sewing techniques. This camp welcomes all hair types and is a great way to build confidence and creativity with hair styling.
  • Monster Mash Bash Dance Party

    Join Community Ed for the Monster Mash Bash Dance Party! Families are invited to come dressed in their favorite costumes for a night full of dancing, fun, and festive activities. Get ready to show off your moves, compete in a costume contest, toss bean bags into the witches’ cauldron, and decorate your very own spooky pumpkin. This event is perfect for kids ages 4 to 12. All attendees need to register, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Parents Night Out

    Take a Well-Deserved Break While Your Kids Have Fun Give yourself some time to relax and let your children enjoy an evening full of fun activities and new friends. Our Parents Night Out event offers a safe and welcoming space where kids can unwind and have a great time. Drop off and pick up your child anytime between five and eight in the evening. Activities will include movie screenings arts and crafts sports and gym games. Pizza will be served at six thirty along with snacks and refreshments. All children must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian. Please let us know about any allergies or special needs ahead of time. We look forward to sharing a fun-filled night with your child.

    Youth Horse Camp

    Explore the World of Horses at Boulder Pointe Equestrian & Event Center In this hands-on camp, students will learn how to ride groom tack up lead and do in-hand work with horses. They will also enjoy fun horse-related crafts and activities such as braiding a horse’s mane and caring for these beautiful animals by feeding and watering them. Please note transportation is not provided. Participants must be transported to and from camp on their own at the following location: Boulder Pointe Equestrian & Event Center, 6612 189th Lane NW, Anoka. Proper attire includes sneakers or boots with closed toes and heels, long pants, and layered clothing depending on the weather. Please bring bug spray, sunscreen, nut-free snacks, a water bottle, and a nut-free bag lunch. ASTM/SEI certified helmets will be provided. Signed waivers are required for participation. This camp is offered in partnership with Hopkins-Minnetonka Recreation Services.
