Become a curious scientist with your friends! Explore caring for the earth through fun hands-on STEM activities, including experiments that promote environmental stewardship, surprising ways to grow plants, and making some yummy snacks from plants we grow. Students will start flowers and vegetables to be transferred to the outdoor garden. It will be a fun and educational experience that will spark student's interest in science and the environment! This class is for VEDU students and will take place at the Hopkins VEDU building in the multi-purpose room on 1st floor. Parent volunteers are welcome. If you are interested in helping, please email Amie Mondl at rober199@umn.edu. This class is sponsored by the Hennepin County Green Partners Grant program and is free of charge. Registration is required.

This engaging camp will introduce young artists to the magical and messy world of clay. Unleash your child's imagination as they learn basic clay building techniques as they create their own sparkly geode, a fun-filled tic-tac-toe game, a beautiful leaf-shaped pinch pot with a mosaic decoration, and so much more!. Embrace the messiness and join us for some sculpting, shaping, and transforming clay into one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Let the messy fun begin!
