Royal Zone: Before & After School Fun for Middle Schoolers

Looking for a place where your middle schooler can start and end their day with friends, fun, and creativity? Royal Zone is a before- and after-school program designed just for Hopkins middle school students. We offer a safe, welcoming space where students can hang out, explore their interests, and build positive memories.

Whether your child is into sports, gaming, technology, or arts and DIY projects, Royal Zone has something for everyone. It’s the perfect place to unwind, try something new, and connect with peers.

Program Options & Registration:

• Families can sign up for the morning session, afternoon session, or both.
• Register for the school year by paying the full cost or by a weekly payment plan. 
• Single-day options are not available.

Special Hours:

• On early release days, Royal Zone opens at 12:00 PM for students registered in the afternoon session.
• The program is closed on non-school days.
  • But keep a look out for opportunities on our main youth enrichment page.

Technology Policy (Afternoons):
To encourage connection and active participation, students will be asked to put away iPads and phones until 5:00 PM. Exceptions are made for homework use with staff permission and on early release days.

Location & Transportation:
Royal Zone is located at North Middle School. Students from West Middle School can take provided transportation to and from North.

When registering, please indicate:

• If your student needs transportation to/from West Middle School
• If they will ride the 5:30 PM activity bus home (available to hub locations within the Hopkins School District).
• Please note: The 5:30 PM bus does not run on Fridays or when the high school is not in session, including digital learning days.
