Experience the magic of chalk art! This program invites participants to dive into the world of chalk art and street painting. Led by professional street painter and chalk artist, Tara Aiken, participants will learn the fundamentals of drawing and shading, general techniques of large-scale art, and working with chalk as a medium. By the end of the session, participants will create their own chalk art in a gallery walk for fellow participants or friends/family to enjoy. Don't miss this unique opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing art form!
Tara is a Minnesota-based chalk artist best known for creating hyper-realistic, fun, and nostalgic pieces. She discovered her passion for chalk art while drawing on her driveway at home during the pandemic. Her art quickly gained recognition and she has since become known for her chalk art, murals, fine art, and educational chalk art programs. With Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Management and Sociology from Hamline University, and over 15 years of experience in learning and instructional design, Tara creates engaging and effective workshops, camps, and tutorials for aspiring artists at any age and stage in their artistic journey.
