Kick off the summer by creating a simple, yet eye-catching plant hanger that displays three natural or artificial plants. Hang it on a porch or shed or enjoy it in your home office or sunroom. A variety of subtle, colorful and whimsical canvas fabrics will be available for you to choose from. Basic sewing skills recommended.
Bring supplies listed below:
$25 supply fee paid to instructor on day of class.

• Sewing machine -- Community Education has 4 sewing machines that can be shared if you do not have your own.
• All-purpose thread
• Fabric scissors or rotary cutter and mat
• Ruler
• Seam Ripper
• Universal sewing machine needle, size 14 or 16

Sandra S.Bengtson, owner of Avant Garb Fashions, was fortunate to learn how to sew by her mother at age 8. Decades later, Sandra’s passion for sewing has paved the way to fulfilling a lifelong dream; teaching others. As her mother did for her, Sandra is committed to spread her “love of sewing”. Sandra believes that providing a warm, inclusive classroom environment with fun and laughter, maximizes the learning experience and may even foster new friendships.
