Family Acrylic Pour

Adult / Art -
Adult Summer 2024

This class is designed as a family friendly class for adults to register with their children. Pour painting is an innovative way to use acrylic paints to create a work of art. In this class you will learn the process of mixing acrylic paints with other mediums to give it a more fluid consistency so that it can be poured directly onto a canvas. Each pair of painters will get two 8 x 10 inch canvases to pour paint on. This is a great way to try this popular trend in painting without worrying about all the mess in your house.

Vanessa Merry

Vanessa Merry moved to Florence, Italy at the age of eighteen to study the methods of the great masters in painting, drawing, and printmaking at Palazzo Spinelli. From here she continued her education and exploration of the human-figure, still-life’s, and landscapes at Atelier de Chimere in France where she enjoyed Plein-Air painting in the French countryside. She moved back to the United States where she attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota in Visual Arts and Art History.

She has been actively involved in the Twin Cities art scene for many years. Vanessa Merry has won several awards for her paintings in local galleries. She has worked with many different galleries and art organizations in the cities.

Vanessa currently enjoys creating works of art in many different styles but finds herself happiest when she is in the classroom teaching others all the skills that she has acquired in her studies.
