Join us for this introductory class where you’ll learn 10 basic stitches including the Running, Back, Chain, and Blanket stitch, a French Knot, and more. Leave class with a completed project and the confidence to tackle hand embroidery on your own. Bring an 6-8” embroidery hoop and scissors. $5 supply fee paid to instructor.

These documents are vitally important in the event you become incapacitated and cannot make decisions for yourself. A Health Care Directive (akin to the old "Living Will") is a legal document that communicates your health care wishes and allows you to name someone to make health care decisions for you when you cannot speak for yourself. A Power of Attorney allows you to choose someone to handle your finances and property and is effective immediately upon signing. In this class, you will prepare both of these documents so you won't end up without these important legal plans in place. So now that you know a little bit about Middle Eastern Dance, you want to keep moving! This class is designed for students who have prior exposure to Middle Eastern dance. The level 2 curriculum focuses on refining beginning level moves, new techniques with more attention to dance combinations and transitions, musicality, and developing skills with finger cymbals. Some specialty techniques/props and basic layering techniques may also be introduced at this level. Prerequisite: Belly Dance Basics and Beyond or instructor permission. Bring a hip scarf, finger cymbals. This class will meet in person as social distancing requirements allow; class will be moved online via Zoom if that is not possible.

Medical terminology is the first step to any career in the medical field or simply to understand your family’s medical visits. No prior experience is necessary. This highly specialized language involves word building with root words, prefixes, suffixes, and abbreviations. You will leave with a solid foundation of medical language, as well as basic medical billing and coding terminology. After submitting and passing the open-book exam included in the workbook you receive in class, you will earn a Certificate of Completion.
