  • Camp Royal Volunteer Camp

  • Emergency Form for Camp Royal

    Each Camp Royal participant will need to fill out an emergency form. This form will provide Camp Royal staff with important information regarding your student in case of an emergency. Simply register for the class below and fill out the questions. A parent or guardian will need to sign off on the following waivers:Accident Waiver:  In case of serious accident, injury or illness, I hereby authorize staff of Hopkins Public Schools to call 911 BEFORE notifying me, and to administer necessary first aid. If an ambulance is necessary, I understand that Hopkins Public Schools will not be held responsible for any costs that this may incur. Behavior Waiver: I understand that my child will need to follow all the rules of Camp Royal and demonstrate the same behavior they would in school.  I understand that if my child cannot follow the rules of Camp Royal, they may need to be picked up from camp for the day and/or will need to have a discussion with the Camp Director. Sunscreen Waiver: I will put sunscreen on my child before they arrive at camp if they are scheduled for an outside class. I permit staff to apply sunscreen to my child as needed. Late Fee Policy: I understand that there is a late fee of $1 per minute for pick ups after 12:30 pm for AM-only campers and after 5:00 pm for PM-only or all day campers. Photography Policy: I am aware that photographs of my child may be taken and used to promote Hopkins Community Education programs. If I do not want my child's photo taken, I will need to call the Community Education office at 952-988-4070. If your child needs medication distributed to them while attending Camp Royal, you will need to fill out the appropriate paperwork found on the district website.     Do you have what it takes to make it at the Hogwarts Camp? Some of the subjects we’ll be taking will be Charms101, Herbology for the Wizard Chef, Defense Against Dark Arts and Muggle Studies.     This form is for Club Royal participants (7th-9th Grade) ONLY.  Camp Royal (K-6th grade) will be a separate form. Each Club Royal participant will need to fill out an emergency form.     Join this new camp, where you’ll learn all about comics and create your own comic book series using the building blocks of comics: panels and text characters! Bring your favorite comics to share if you’d like. In addition, we’ll see who the best planeswalker is, as we’ll play and compete in a Magic tournament for bragging rights.     Join Camp Royal for a truly Amazing Race! Our teams will be assigned twelve challenges throughout the class, requiring teams to deduce the clues. Clues will describe the tasks that teams must complete before continuing on with the race. All teams will receive a prize at the end!   • Summer Olympics

    Love to move and play games? Enjoy many fun and diverse individual and team sports, and “compete” in a series of team and individual events in this fun camp focused on the Olympic Games. Events include track & field races, discus throw (using a Frisbee), tumbling, tug of war, and others.     Have an interest or a love for soccer? Join us for our soccer camp and develop proper fundamental skills for ball control, passing, shooting, defensive skills, footwork, and position awareness. The soccer camp is for players of all levels.   • Prairie Fire Theater Presents: Jack & the Beanstalk

    Join us in this new and exciting theatrical opportunity!  Register now and enjoy a week-long theater experience with performances of "Jack & the Beanstalk" on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon!   All students will attend auditions on Monday, be assigned roles, and receive their Tuesday schedule the same day.  Participant's Schedule:Monday-Thursday, August 20-23: 10am to 2:15pmFriday, August 24: 2:30pm to 7:15pm. Performance at 6pm at Eisenhower Community Center Theater. Saturday, August 25: 1pm-3:30pm. Performance at 2pm at Eisenhower Community Center Theater. This real-world, outdoor treasure-hunting game will put kids on teams who will navigate using specific coordinates, to explore the Eisenhower campus in an effort to find as many geocaches (containers) hidden.
