They are beautiful and so fun to make! Your instructor will show you some simple tricks to make the process easy. We will make three different kinds: lovely blueberry, lemon, and pink champagne. Students will bake and assemble one recipe from start to finish, as well as decorate and assemble the other two recipes. You will be the talk of the party when you serve these little delicacies!
There will be a supply fee of $12 per student payable to the instructor in class.
Nancy Burgeson is a highly sought after instructor who has been teaching for nearly 37 years. Currently she offers classes in over 25 school districts, including her hometown community of Bloomington, where she graduated from Bloomington Kennedy High School in the late 1960's.
Nancy's passion for baking and candy making, led her to Wilton Enterprises in Woodridge, Illinois, where she worked for over 10 years. Wilton is a leader in the baking industry. During that time she won many awards for her duties with the company including being inducted into the Wilton Method Hall of Fame for her teaching skills. She also became a teacher coordinator hiring and training instructors in a 5-state area. Nancy's skills in working with people led her to the Youth and Family Senior Enrichment Coordinator position for the Bloomington Public Schools/Community Education Department. Although she loved her job, she longed to be back in a classroom with adult learners sharing her passions for baking and candy making. After lots of thought, Nancy left her full-time position and pursued her true love of instructing students.
Since then, she has taught a variety of baking and cooking classes, but always comes back to her most favorite which are Truffles, Cake decorating, and her most popular class, Holiday Bake and Take Cookie Bake.
