Lose your fear of drawing in this supportive class. Develop techniques for drawing what you see in exciting and expressive ways! Gain confidence as you learn or enhance your drawing skills with Jim as your guide. Explore the endless possibilities of different media - charcoal, graphite, and ink and how to use them on different surfaces. You will create drawings and learn how to evaluate and talk about art in a positive environment. This class meets online, in a mix of written, pre-recorded, and live Zoom sessions.
His belief in the communicative powers of art shapes his teaching philosophy. He is an enthusiastic instructor who excels at helping students reveal their potential.
A Minnetonka native, he lived in Alaska for over a decade and returned to Minnesota to enjoy the warm winters. He is active as a member of the Hopkins Center for the Arts and the Glen Lake Optimists.
